Bassett, CA (September 25, 2025) – A motorcyclist was injured and taken to the hospital following a crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 605 in Bassett.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 3:46 p.m. on September 24 on the northbound side of Interstate 605, just south of Valley Boulevard. Responders were initially called to the scene due to reports of a large metal object obstructing the carpool and No. 1 lanes.
A Subaru driver told officers that both her vehicle and a motorcycle struck the debris in the roadway. As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist sustained road rash injuries to the knees and ribs.
Emergency personnel transported the rider to Los Angeles General Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
