Dorchester County, SC (September 29, 2025) – Authorities have released the identity of the man who tragically died in a pre-dawn collision on Interstate 95 over the weekend.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28. David Brian Casey, 69, of Gloversville, New York, was driving along I-95 when his vehicle was struck from behind by another motorist. The impact caused Casey’s vehicle to veer off the road.
Emergency responders transported Casey to Trident Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. An autopsy is scheduled to take place at the Medical University of South Carolina on Monday.
