Palmdale, CA (October 1, 2025) – An early morning tragedy unfolded Saturday when a man from Albuquerque was fatally struck by a charter bus on the Antelope Valley Freeway, authorities confirmed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 4:35 a.m. on September 28 in the northbound lanes of State Route 14, just south of Palmdale Boulevard.
The man, reportedly in his 20s, had exited his 2020 Tesla Model 3 following a prior crash. While standing in the far-right lane, he was hit by a northbound 2008 MCI J-Series Motorcoach driven by a 58-year-old Panorama City man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
