Nederland, TX (October 29, 2025) — A Nederland man was killed Thursday morning in a fatal crash involving a pickup and a box truck in Jefferson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 11:45 a.m. on October 24 along Twin City Highway near Lone Star Drive. Authorities say 41-year-old Brian Morgan was driving a Toyota Tacoma northbound when he rear-ended a box truck that had slowed down to make a left turn.
Morgan, a resident of Nederland, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck and an adult passenger inside the vehicle were not injured.
