Salt Lake City, UT (November 5, 2025) – A woman was killed Tuesday evening in a deadly crash involving a parked dump truck along southbound Interstate 15 near the Point of the Mountain.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 7:10 p.m. on November 4 near mile marker 286. Authorities said a dump truck was stopped on the right shoulder when it was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a woman.
The impact left the female driver with fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
The right two lanes of I-15 were closed for several hours Tuesday night while authorities investigated the scene and cleared debris. It is not yet known what caused the driver to veer into the shoulder. The crash remains under active investigation.
