According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 3:43 p.m. on November 7 at the intersection of Division Avenue and Commercial Avenue. A sedan was reportedly heading north on Commercial when it attempted a left turn onto Division and collided with an eastbound commercial vehicle.
The male driver of the sedan, believed to be in his 30s, was critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital. Two children, approximately 10 and 4 years old, were also in the vehicle and evaluated at the scene but did not require hospitalization.
