Bakersfield, CA (November 16, 2025) – A woman was injured early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash involving a stolen vehicle in east Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on November 14 at the intersection of Oswell Street and Niles Street. A Nissan and a Kia collided in the roadway. Following the impact, the driver of the Kia fled the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
The abandoned Kia was located shortly afterward by authorities and was confirmed to have been reported stolen before the incident.
The woman driving the Nissan was transported to Kern Medical for treatment. Her condition has not been disclosed at this time.
The CHP continues to investigate and is actively searching for the suspect involved.
