Lucerne Valley, CA (November 16, 2025) – A dramatic head-on collision involving a pickup truck and an SUV ignited a fire and left one person injured Thursday evening along a stretch of Highway 18.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 5:24 p.m. on November 14 at the intersection of Highway 18 and Camp Rock Road. A white Ford F-150 towing a trailer collided head-on with a black SUV under unclear circumstances.
The impact triggered a blaze, engulfing both vehicles in flames. The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded alongside CHP to battle the fire and assist victims.
At least one person was injured and transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. The full extent of the victim’s injuries has not yet been released.
