Lamb County, TX (November 21, 2025) – A woman died Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 84 near the town of Amherst.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 2:00 p.m. on November 19. Lori Moyer was driving a Chevrolet pickup westbound on US 84 when she attempted to pass a semi-truck pulling a trailer. During the maneuver, Moyer veered back into the lane too soon and struck the left side of the trailer.
After the initial impact, Moyer lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and rolled over into the northbound lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers riding with Moyer were taken to UMC with injuries that were not life-threatening. The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
