Ransom County, ND (August 26, 2026) – A juvenile girl was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Sheldon on Monday evening, August 24. The accident occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. in the 6200 block of 140th Avenue Southeast, about six miles south of Sheldon.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north when it left the roadway, entered the east ditch, and rolled multiple times. The juvenile girl driving the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released her identity.
Investigators reported that the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The roadway was dry, although light rain was falling at the time of the crash.
