Los Angeles, CA (December 3, 2025) — Emergency crews responded to a collision between an ambulance and an SUV in the San Fernando Valley late Sunday night, resulting in five people being hospitalized.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8 p.m. on December 1 on Woodman Avenue near Cantara Street in the Panorama City neighborhood. A Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance was transporting a 94-year-old patient and his 81-year-old companion when it was struck by an SUV.
The 34-year-old male driver of the SUV was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition. Two LAFD crew members in the ambulance, as well as the elderly patient and his companion, were also taken to nearby hospitals.
