Fresno County, CA (January 21, 2026) – A deadly crash claimed the life of a driver early Sunday morning in Fresno County after a collision involving a big rig and a pickup truck.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on January 18 along Clovis Avenue near Golden State Boulevard. Authorities said a big rig hauling tomatoes was traveling northbound on Clovis Avenue when it attempted a left or U turn near Golden State Boulevard. At that time, a Chevy S 10 pickup truck collided with the right side of the trailer. Reduced visibility from dense fog reportedly prevented the pickup driver from seeing the trailer in time.
