Lafayette County, MS (June 8, 2025) – A devastating crash early Saturday morning claimed the lives of two individuals and left two others injured along Highway 30 in Lafayette County.
According to reports, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 8:43 a.m. June 7. Investigators stated that a 2013 Ford Expedition, driven by 44-year-old Misty M. Montgomery of Grenada, was heading eastbound when it collided with a 2015 Dodge Ram driven by a minor from Myrtle traveling westbound.
Tragically, Misty M. Montgomery and her passenger, 32-year-old Jennifer Campbell of Grenada, both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. A minor passenger in the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The minor driver of the Dodge Ram also suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.
