Williams Township, PA (August 12, 2026) – A 48-year-old Phillipsburg man lost his life Sunday evening following a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in Northampton County. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on August 9 in the 200 block of South Delaware Drive in Williams Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the motorcycle was traveling south on South Delaware Drive while a passenger vehicle was traveling north. Investigators reported that, for reasons still under investigation, the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown from the vehicle.
Authorities said the motorcycle continued sliding into the northbound lane, where it was struck by the oncoming vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and attempted to assist the rider; however, the 48-year-old Phillipsburg resident was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
Officials have not released the victim’s identity pending notification procedures.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
