According to reports, the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on June 10 along I-70 West near mile marker 72. Troopers from the Maryland State Police responded to the scene and confirmed the collision involved a Toyota 4Runner and a truck tractor.
The driver of the Toyota sustained injuries serious enough to require emergency air transport. Maryland State Police medevac personnel flew the individual to Shock Trauma for further treatment. No information was immediately provided about the condition of the truck tractor driver.
Multiple lanes were closed in the area following the crash, leading to traffic delays as crews worked to investigate and clear the wreckage. The incident remains under investigation.
