Las Vegas, NV (June 12, 2025) – A deadly early morning crash on Interstate 15 claimed the life of one man and left another person seriously injured just south of Las Vegas on Tuesday.
According to reports, the two-vehicle collision occurred around 3:55 a.m. on June 11 along southbound I-15 near mile marker 7 in Jean, approximately 21 miles south of the St. Rose Parkway exit. Nevada State Police say the crash involved two sedans, though further details about the cause have not been released.
Forty-eight-year-old Mazin Al Jawhar was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person involved in the crash was airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Lane closures caused by the crash resulted in traffic congestion for several miles while investigators worked at the scene west of the highway.
