Bismarck, ND (October 6, 2026) – A 16-year-old Mandan girl was killed and three other people were injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on the west side of Bismarck.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the October 2 crash occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Main Avenue and Missouri Avenue. Bismarck Police reported that a westbound Infiniti struck the passenger side of a Chevrolet Equinox.
Police identified one of the Equinox passengers as 16-year-old Taylor Fisher of Mandan. Fisher suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
A 17-year-old male passenger in the Equinox was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The 15-year-old driver was also injured and is expected to recover. Authorities did not publicly identify either teenager.
The Infiniti driver, identified as 19-year-old Cameron Schestler, suffered severe injuries but is also expected to recover.
Police said preliminary findings indicate that the Infiniti had been racing another vehicle at a high rate of speed before the collision. Investigators stressed that the racing allegation and other findings remain preliminary as the investigation continues.
