Milwaukee, WI (July 5, 2025) — A police pursuit ended in a violent rollover crash near Tiefenthaler Park, sending three people to the hospital and resulting in the recovery of a stolen vehicle, firearm, and suspected drugs, Milwaukee police said.
According to reports, the incident began just before 10:00 p.m. on June 23 near South 5th Street and West Becher Street when officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver refused to pull over, prompting a chase through city streets.
The pursuit came to a sudden end near North 27th Street and West Galena Street when the fleeing vehicle collided with another car, causing both vehicles to roll over. A 17-year-old male driver was arrested after a short foot chase and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 20-year-old passenger was ejected during the crash and seriously injured. The 22-year-old driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police confirmed the suspect vehicle was reported stolen and officers recovered a gun and suspected narcotics inside. Criminal charges are expected to be filed with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
