Yuba County, CA (July 17, 2025) – Two adults from Roseville were tragically killed and four others, including two children, were seriously injured in a head-on crash on Highway 70 last Friday evening.
According to reports, the deadly crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on July 12 near Boyer Road, just north of Marysville. Officials say a Toyota traveling southbound lost control and veered into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Honda carrying multiple occupants.
The driver of the Honda, 41-year-old Puneet Singh Sohi, died at the scene. His passenger, 41-year-old Premjeet Brar, was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries. Two children riding in the same vehicle—a 4-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl—sustained serious injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
The two individuals in the Toyota, both 18-year-olds from Brentwood, were hospitalized with serious injuries as well. The California Highway Patrol stated that it remains unclear whether impairment played a role in the crash.
