Multi-Vehicle Crash in Sheboygan Falls, WI — Heavy Fog on State Hwy 23 (August 7, 2025)

Sheboygan Falls, WI (August 7, 2025) – Dense morning fog is being blamed for a major chain-reaction crash Thursday that shut down parts of State Highway 23 between Plymouth and Sheboygan. The first crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Sunset Road in the town of Sheboygan Falls.

According to reports, visibility in the area was less than one-tenth of a mile when a vehicle crossing State Highway 23 at Sunset Road triggered a multi-vehicle collision involving at least nine vehicles. While deputies worked to close the roadway and reroute traffic, a second crash involving six more vehicles occurred west of the initial scene. Serious, life-threatening injuries were reported in the first collision. The Wisconsin State Patrol is reconstructing the crash as part of the ongoing investigation. Both directions of the highway were affected for several hours.

Protect Your Rights After an Accident Today

Accidents involving multiple vehicles often result in complex insurance claims and disputes over liability. Speaking with an experienced attorney as soon as possible can help protect your rights and ensure your voice is heard. A legal professional can investigate the crash, gather statements from witnesses, obtain traffic camera footage, and work with accident reconstruction experts. This is especially important in incidents with severe weather conditions, where fault may be shared among several parties. Quick legal action can also help secure compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and other damages. Even if you believe your injuries are minor, they may worsen over time, making early legal consultation essential.
