The Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the crash to determine the circumstances and potential charges related to the suspected DUI.
Protecting Your Rights after a Car Accident Today
Being involved in a car accident can be overwhelming, but knowing how to protect your rights is essential. After an accident, the first step is to document everything. Take photos of the scene, exchange information with all involved parties, and gather witness statements if possible. This evidence is crucial when determining liability. Even if injuries seem minor, seek medical attention promptly to establish a record of your condition. Insurance companies often aim to minimize payouts, so avoid making statements or accepting quick settlements without consulting a legal expert. Hiring an experienced car accident attorney can help you navigate the complex legal process and negotiate with insurers on your behalf. They can guide you in seeking compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Taking immediate action preserves valuable evidence, strengthens your case, and allows you to focus on recovery while your attorney advocates for your rights and interests.
