Napa County, CA (October 30, 2024) – A suspected DUI crash in Napa County on Monday night left one person seriously injured and another facing charges, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident occurred just before 10:50 p.m. on October 28 in the 4100 block of Old Sonoma Road, south of Congress Valley Road. CHP reported that 32-year-old Ganesh Singh, of Napa, was driving a 2000 Volvo S70 at a high speed when he crossed over the double yellow lines.
Singh’s vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming 2018 Honda HR-V driven by 56-year-old Yuko Butler, also of Napa. Butler sustained major injuries and was transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. Singh suffered moderate to major injuries and received medical care.
Authorities indicated that Singh is expected to face DUI charges in connection with the crash. The investigation is ongoing as CHP works to gather more details about the incident.
