Wythe County, VA (August 13, 2025) – A serious head-on crash involving two vehicles sent six people to the hospital Saturday afternoon in Wythe County.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 12:29 p.m. on August 9 along the northbound side of Interstate 77, near mile marker 24.6. The Hillsville Fire Department, along with several other emergency agencies, responded to the scene and confirmed a two-vehicle collision with significant damage.
Fire crews assisted in patient care and extraction, as well as with fluid and debris cleanup at the crash site. The injured parties were transported to local hospitals, and officials reported that injuries ranged from mild to moderate.
