Rio Vista, CA (August 16, 2025) – One man is dead and four others injured after a serious two-vehicle crash Friday evening on Highway 12 in Solano County.
According to reports, California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash at approximately 5 p.m. on August 15 near the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 113. A 53-year-old man driving a Toyota westbound on Highway 12 lost control of his vehicle and veered into the eastbound lanes. His car came to rest perpendicular to traffic when it was struck by an oncoming Nissan.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan’s driver, along with three passengers, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities noted that all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
