North Powder, OR (October 3, 2025) – A Hillsboro woman was hospitalized Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 84, according to Oregon State Police.

According to the Oregon State Police, the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. on October 1, 2025, near milepost 290 on I-84, close to North Powder. Authorities say Adriana Blas Lopez, 37, was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound when she slowed for unknown reasons and was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The Dodge, driven by 47-year-old Ryan Hugh Teichert of Cokeville, Wyoming, struck Lopez’s Corolla, pushing it into the rear of another slowing Toyota Corolla ahead of her.

Lopez sustained injuries in the collision and was airlifted to a nearby regional hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not yet been released. The other drivers declined medical transport.

Teichert was cited for following too closely. The crash remains under investigation.
