According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 9:16 p.m. on October 4 near the intersection of Nisqualli Road and 2nd Avenue. The 13-year-old boy was riding eastbound on a bicycle when a white Toyota Camry, driven by 36-year-old Rosalie Morales of Victorville, reportedly hit him.
Emergency crews responded quickly. The injured teen was transported to St. Mary Medical Center and then airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries. Morales was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.
