Coosa County, AL (July 1, 2026) – A woman was injured after two bass boats collided on Lake Mitchell in Coosa County on Friday evening, throwing two occupants into the water. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the boating crash.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency , the collision occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on June 27 in Hatchet Creek on Lake Mitchell. Investigators said a 17-foot bass boat operated by 30-year-old Trevor Howell of Munford collided with another 17-foot bass boat operated by 24-year-old Duncan Davis of Deatsville.
The impact threw Howell into the water, although he was not injured. A passenger aboard his vessel, identified as 38-year-old Natasha Holt, was also ejected into the water. Holt sustained injuries and was transported to Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery for medical treatment.
Authorities reported that Davis was not injured in the collision. The cause of the boating crash remains under investigation.
