According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Street and Arizona Avenue. Authorities confirmed that a marked police unit was involved in a collision with another vehicle under circumstances that are still being reviewed.
The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of damage to the police vehicle or the other involved vehicle has not been disclosed. The condition of the second driver has not yet been released.
