According to reports, the crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on July 25 in the 19100 block of Newland Street. Authorities say a single vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old male with an 18-year-old passenger, lost control at a high rate of speed, striking a tree before plowing into two residential homes.
Both occupants of the vehicle reported pain-related injuries and were transported by Huntington Beach Fire Department personnel to UCI Medical Center for evaluation. Their current conditions are not publicly known.
At least one of the impacted homes was occupied by a woman and an infant at the time of the collision. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents.
