Town of Ulster, NY (July 30, 2026) – Two people were hospitalized Monday morning following a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an armored truck along Route 9W in the Town of Ulster.
According to the New York State Police the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on July 27 on Ulster Avenue (Route 9W) near the entrance to Tractor Supply. Responding officers with the Town of Ulster Police Department arrived to find a 2013 Honda CR-V and a Loomis Armored Services truck with extensive damage, both remaining on the roadway following the collision.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Honda, an adult woman, and the driver of the armored truck were evaluated at the scene by emergency responders before both were transported to Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston for further evaluation and treatment. Their conditions have not been released. An additional passenger inside the armored truck was not injured.
The New York State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office assisted local police, fire, and EMS personnel at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
