Yucaipa, CA (July 25, 2026) – Three people were injured, including one who suffered critical injuries, following a head on collision at a Yucaipa intersection Saturday afternoon, July 25.
According to the California Highway Patrol , the crash was reported at approximately 12:28 p.m. at the intersection of Bryant Street and State Route 38.
Investigators said a white Chevrolet Silverado and a gray Ford Explorer were involved in an apparent head on collision that left both vehicles blocking the westbound lanes of Bryant Street.
Following the impact, the Ford Explorer caught fire while an elderly woman remained inside the vehicle. Good Samaritans rushed to the scene and attempted to remove her before emergency crews arrived.
Paramedics transported three people to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said one of the drivers was listed in critical condition, while the conditions of the other two patients were not immediately released.
