Midland, TX (December 4, 2025) – One person was killed and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Midland County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly collision took place around 6:00 a.m. on December 2 on Farm-to-Market Road 1788 at mile marker 330. The Texas DPS identified the deceased as 20-year-old Cayden Andrew McBee of Midland.
McBee was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima northbound on FM 1788 when, for reasons under investigation, he failed to stay in his lane and veered into the southbound side of the highway. His vehicle collided head-on with a 2026 GMC Sierra traveling in the opposite direction.
Emergency crews pronounced McBee dead at the scene. The driver of the GMC suffered serious injuries and was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
