Chemung, NY (May 29, 2025) – A late-night crash left two people injured Tuesday after a pickup truck collided with a home in Chemung, New York.
According to reports, troopers from the New York State Police in SP Horseheads responded to the scene around 9:25 p.m. on May 27 after a 2014 Toyota Tundra struck a residence located at 959 Dry Brook Road. The vehicle had previously been involved in a police pursuit initiated in Sayre, Pennsylvania, but the chase was terminated after crossing into New York.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the Tundra had plowed into the occupied structure, trapping two residents. Emergency crews extricated both victims. Connie A. Miller, 71, sustained serious internal injuries and was transported to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. John J. Miller, 76, also required medical attention but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, 43-year-old Terry Lynn Murray of Lockwood, was arrested at the scene and is facing multiple felony charges, including Vehicular Assault and Driving While Intoxicated. He remains in custody at Chemung County Jail.
