Clinton County, MO (January 15, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on MO-116 near Vandeau Road resulted in injuries and significant vehicle damage early Wednesday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m., approximately two miles east of Plattsburg. Authorities report that both vehicles were traveling eastbound on MO-116 when the incident took place.

A 2017 Dodge Durango, driven by a 33-year-old woman from Cameron, MO, had stopped to allow a vehicle to turn northbound. A 2013 Chevrolet 2500, driven by a 38-year-old man from Plattsburg, MO, crested a hill and collided with the rear of the stopped Dodge Durango.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Shoemaker’s Tow Service. The driver of the Durango suffered minor injuries and was transported by Tri-County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
