South Los Angeles, CA (September 19, 2025) – Authorities have identified the man killed in a tragic pedestrian crash last weekend as 28-year-old Clyde Miller, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Figueroa Street just north of 81st Street. The Los Angeles Police Department said Miller was attempting to cross the street outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a silver Toyota Corolla traveling southbound.
The initial impact threw Miller into the air, landing him on the roadway. The Corolla driver stopped and attempted to help. Moments later, a second vehicle—a blue car also heading south—ran over Miller and fled the scene without stopping.
Miller was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The hit-and-run driver has not been located, and an investigation is ongoing.
