Chicago, IL (November 3, 2025) – Two women were killed Sunday night in a violent crash just west of the Dan Ryan Expressway near Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, according to local authorities.
According to the Illinois State Police, the collision occurred around 9:13 p.m. on November 2 in the 300 block of West 35th Street. A 24-year-old woman was driving a red sedan eastbound when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and entered oncoming traffic.
The sedan was then struck by a black SUV traveling westbound. A 21-year-old woman was a passenger in the red sedan at the time of the crash. Both women sustained severe trauma and were transported by paramedics to Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where they were pronounced dead.
The male driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Video from the scene showed the red sedan overturned with debris scattered in front of the White Sox stadium.
