Tillamook County, OR (October 7, 2025) – A head-on collision on Highway 6 in Tillamook County tragically claimed the life of a Garibaldi woman Friday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, the deadly crash happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on October 3, 2025, near milepost 32 on Highway 6. Investigators report that a Mazda 3, driven westbound by 27-year-old Brissa Garcia of Vancouver, crossed into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons.
The Mazda collided head-on with a Scion Xd driven by 57-year-old Deanna Bolinger of Garibaldi. Bolinger was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
Garcia suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her current condition has not been publicly updated.
The highway was shut down for approximately six hours while law enforcement conducted a full on-scene investigation.
