Orland, CA (October 31, 2025) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, October 29, at the intersection of County Road 18 and Old Highway 99w near Orland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 67-year-old Francisco Avalos of Orland was driving a 2012 Toyota eastbound on County Road 18 when he entered the intersection and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2023 Ford pickup traveling south on Old Highway 99w.
Francisco Avalos and the Ford driver, identified as 39-year-old Aaditya Marwah of Chico, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Deborah Avalos, a passenger in the Toyota, suffered unspecified injuries and was transported to Enloe Health for further evaluation.
Authorities stated that impairment was not believed to be a factor in the collision, which remains under investigation.
