According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 12:10 p.m. on November 12 on the eastbound SR-52 offramp at Mast Boulevard. Debra Kay Villasenor, 66, of Alpine, was behind the wheel of an SUV when, for unknown reasons, she continued through the intersection and collided with a traffic light pole.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after the crash but found Villasenor unresponsive. She was officially pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:37 p.m.
