According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 1:48 p.m. on September 20 on Aberdeen Drive near Balsa Avenue. Investigators say a juvenile was operating a 2002 Honda dirt bike while carrying an 18-year-old passenger. The dirt bike reportedly failed to yield the right of way and entered the path of a gray 2019 Cadillac XT5, resulting in a collision.
Both the rider and the passenger were ejected from the dirt bike. The rider sustained minor injuries, while the passenger suffered major but non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders transported both victims to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
