Hesperia, CA (August 25, 2025) – A driver sustained serious injuries early Sunday morning after a violent single-vehicle crash in Hesperia caused the car to split in half, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 3:40 a.m. on August 25 in the 5900 block of Arrowhead Lake Road, between Havenhurst Road and Randall Street. Officials say a black Honda left the roadway and slammed into a brick wall with such force that the vehicle was torn in two.
Emergency crews from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and American Medical Response arrived at the scene and found the driver suffering from major injuries to the head, arm, and leg. The patient was transported by ambulance to Hesperia Airport and then airlifted via Mercy Air 22 to a trauma center.
Authorities noted that alcohol containers were found inside the vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
