Anaheim, CA (January 27, 2026) – A 24-year-old man from Riverside was arrested early Sunday following a tragic DUI crash that killed a pregnant woman in Anaheim.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers and Anaheim Fire and Rescue personnel responded around 12:10 a.m. on January 25 to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of North Anaheim Boulevard and the State Route 91 frontage road. Investigators determined that a Toyota sedan traveling southbound was entering the intersection when it was struck by an eastbound Lexus sedan that allegedly ran a red light.
Inside the Toyota, emergency crews found a pregnant female passenger trapped. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released her identity or how far along she was in her pregnancy.
The Toyota driver and two passengers from the Lexus were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
