San Ramon, CA (December 2, 2025) – A woman from Castro Valley was killed in a suspected DUI crash Saturday afternoon involving two vehicles in San Ramon. The incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. on November 30 on Crow Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Tesla Model 3 and a Ford Bronco. Authorities arrested a 27-year-old Pleasanton man, the driver of the Tesla, on suspicion of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter. The woman, a 41-year-old passenger in the Ford Bronco, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been made public at this time out of respect for her family’s privacy.
The driver of the Bronco was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek and later released. As of Monday, the Tesla driver remained in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on $300,000 bail.
