According to the California Highway Patrol, San Luis Obispo Police Department officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding the crash, which occurred around 3:47 p.m. on December 2 near the intersection of Broad Street and South Street.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the man lying in the southbound lane of Broad Street suffering from major head trauma. Police confirmed the man had not been wearing a helmet while operating his e-bike.
