Linda, CA (Aug. 13, 2025) – A man believed to be about 60 years old died Tuesday afternoon after a collision with a van in the Linda area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. on August 12 as both a Ford Econoline van and the bicyclist, who was towing a small trailer, were traveling west on North Beale Road toward Lindhurst Avenue. Authorities said the van was in the #2 lane while the bicyclist rode along the right side of the roadway. For reasons still under investigation, the two collided, ejecting the rider onto the shoulder.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries at the scene. The van’s driver remained on site and cooperated with investigators. CHP stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors.
