Brooklyn, NY (August 28, 2026) – Three teenagers were killed and four other people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident late Tuesday night on the Belt Parkway near 65th Street in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn.
According to the New York State Police, officers received a report of the crash at approximately 11:35 p.m. on August 25. Police sources said a black Cadillac was traveling eastbound on the Belt Parkway when the driver applied the brakes while approaching a slower vehicle. A Honda traveling behind the Cadillac then struck it from the rear.
The Cadillac subsequently struck a guardrail, spun around, and overturned. Police sources said three of the five people inside the Cadillac were ejected. The three teenagers who died were identified as Huzayfah Algaheim, 18, Konstantin Gerantidi, 17, and Rehman Abdul, 16.
Two other Cadillac occupants, ages 16 and 18, were hospitalized in stable condition. The Honda’s 46-year-old driver and 44-year-old passenger were also taken to a hospital and reported to be stable.
