Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash in the Shadow Hills neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley left two people dead Monday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. on August 4 on Wentworth Street near Wheatland Avenue. Firefighters responding to the scene discovered both drivers trapped inside their heavily damaged vehicles following a head-on crash.

Despite rescue efforts, both individuals—one inside each vehicle—were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have identified the victims only by age and gender: one was a man in his 70s, and the other a woman in her 50s.

Investigators say one of the vehicles involved crossed over the centerline for unknown reasons, triggering the deadly collision. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is continuing the investigation into the cause.
