Middle Township, NJ (June 26, 2025) — A devastating early morning collision claimed the life of a young teen and left two others injured on Monday.
News sources show the crash occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. on June 23 along Cape May Court House-South Dennis Road. Authorities say a 26-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer southbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle. During the maneuver, the Lancer crossed over the center line and collided with a northbound Honda Accord.
A 13-year-old child from Sewell, who was a passenger in the Honda driven by a 55-year-old from Sewell, tragically died from their injuries at Cooper Medical Center. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for further treatment.
The roadway was shut down for nearly five hours as police investigated the scene. The Middle Township Major Crimes and Crash Units are continuing their investigation.
