Rio Vista, CA (August 5, 2025) – A 36-year-old man from Lodi was killed late Sunday night after his vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a guardrail on Highway 160, just south of Rio Vista.
According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. on August 3. The California Highway Patrol says Miguel Angel Aguiar Figueroa was driving northbound near Brannan Island Road when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and exited the roadway.
The car slammed into a guardrail, and Figueroa was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
CHP has not determined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, and the cause remains under active investigation.
