Rocklin, CA (June 12, 2025) – A young Wisconsin resident lost his life following a single-vehicle crash near one of Rocklin’s busiest shopping areas on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the accident happened just after 12:30 p.m. on June 6, near the intersection of Sierra College Boulevard and Bass Pro Drive. Rocklin police say 24-year-old Luke Rich, a resident of Madison, Wisconsin, was driving alone when his vehicle struck a wall.
Emergency crews responded swiftly, but Rich was pronounced dead at the scene. No other individuals or vehicles were involved. As a result of the crash, Bass Pro Drive was shut down for an extended period while authorities completed their investigation and cleared the area.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by local police and the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
